How much money can I put on a gift card?
Ten Thousand Villages Gift Cards are available in any denomination from $1-$1,000.
How do I check the balance on my gift card?
To check your gift card balance online, click the ‘Check Balance’ link, enter your gift card number and pin. You can also check your gift card balance at any Ten Thousand Villages store or by calling 800-242-5353.
When I purchase a gift card online how is it shipped?
Gift cards ordered alone, and not in combination with other products, will be shipped free of charge and should arrive within 5-7 days via the U.S. Postal Service. Gift cards purchased at the same time as other products will be shipped with the rest of your order using the shipping method you choose during checkout. Gift cards do not affect the cost of shipping.
At this time, gift cards ordered alone, and not in combination with other products, cannot be tracked online.
Can I redeem my gift card at a Ten Thousand Villages store?
Yes. You may redeem your gift card online or in any Ten Thousand Villages store. Gift cards purchased in stores may also be used to make purchases online. Not all stores selling Ten Thousand Villages products participate in redeeming Ten Thousand Villages gift cards. If you have a question about a particular store, please contact them directly.
How do I redeem my gift card online?
Add products to your basket and proceed to checkout as usual. On the payment page (Step 3 of the checkout process) enter your credit card information, your gift card number and the pin located on the back of your gift card.
Do I have to enter a credit card number if I am going to use a Gift Card?
Yes, you will always need to enter credit card information when making an online purchase, even if the entire purchase will be debited from your gift card.
Do I have to spend the exact amount on my gift card?
No. If your purchase amount is less than the value of the gift card, you can apply the balance toward your next purchase. If your purchase amount is greater than the gift card balance, the additional payment will be charged to your credit card (in stores you may use gift cards in combination with credit cards, cash or a personal check).
You will always need to enter credit card information when making an online purchase, even if the entire purchase will be debited from your gift card. If there are sufficient funds on your gift card, your credit card will not be charged.
Do Ten Thousand Villages Gift Cards expire?
No, Ten Thousand Villages Gift Cards do not have an expiration date. Any unused balance will remain on your gift card until you decide to redeem it.
Will I be charged any fees if I don’t redeem my Ten Thousand Villages Gift Card for more than one year?
Ten Thousand Villages does not charge service or dormancy fees for any unused gift cards.
Unfortunately we are unable to replace lost or stolen gift cards.
Can I purchase a new gift card using credit on an existing gift card?
No. Gift cards must be used to purchase merchandise and cannot be used to purchase new gift cards. You will not be able to use your gift card to pay for any online order that contains a gift card.
Can I add Ten Thousand Villages Gift Cards to my gift registry?
Yes. When you create your registry make sure to check the box beside ‘Gift Cards Welcome.’
Can I still use my Ten Thousand Villages Gift Certificates as a form of payment?
Yes. You can use a Ten Thousand Villages paper gift certificate at any Ten Thousand Villages store. However, paper gift certificates cannot be used to make online purchases. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
